The colours of the Bay of Fires, located on Tasmania’s north east coastline, is unlike any other you will experience.
The contrast of the rocks covered in rich, burnt orange lichen, with the blue water and white beaches, make this part of the world a photographers dream!
Armed with my Samsung Galaxy S8, I snapped the below pictures when I spent some time guiding the Bay of Fires Walk in May, 2018 with Life’s An Adventure.
The bay extends for about 30km from Binalong Bay in the south, to Eddystone Point in the north, and was named by British navigator and explorer Captain Tobias Furneaux, in 1773.
Many think the name originates from the fiery rocks, however history tells us, Captain Furneaux spotted fires along the coast leading him to believe it was densely populated.
Definitely one for the bucket list!
