The last time I stopped by Cathedral Rocks, which is located about 3km to the north of Kiama, the tides weren’t in my favour. This camping trip I made sure to do my research, and the results were incredible.
Luckily I was able to squeeze into a cave overlooking the incredible rock formation, I think this may have had something to do with the fact I was taking snaps on my iPhone and not a professional camera with tripod!
Thankfully I was blessed with a truly spectacular sunrise, coupled with mesmorising colour and clouds.
The best advice I can offer is to make sure you check the tide charts and if the timing is right, get there early to secure yourself a good spot.
