Cathedral Rocks

Situated at the southern end of Jones Beach and about 3km north of the beautiful Kiama, Cathedral Rocks is a photographers dream – particularly at sunrise.

Even those without the fancy camera (like me) are able to snap a pretty shot of this distinctive rock formation which has been an attraction for sightseers since 1890.

Unfortunately, I didn’t research the tides during this first visit so a sunrise photo session was near impossible. Instead, I managed to take the below snap in the daylight which I’m still pretty happy with.

While Cathedral Rocks can be viewed from Cliff Drive, if you want to get up close and personal, it’s best to approach from the beach to the north.

Stay tuned for when I return to this delightful place for a sunrise shoot.
